The Glorification of Busy

(or “I May Have to Go to Bed at 1am and Wake Up at 6am But I CAN HAVE IT ALL!”)

// stop the glorification of busy

I have a fantastic and challenging job that stretches me to my limit, pushes me to grow, and makes me feel proud.  This keeps me busy.

I have a handsome boyfriend, and every moment spent with him feels like the richest of quality time.  This keeps me busy.

I have a strong right brain, an urge to write, sing, play for rooms of beating hearts, a desire to paint, an insatiable appetite for all things creative… for anything that strikes my soul and leaves it vibrating.  This keeps me busy.

I have beautiful weekend warriors for friends, who endeavor to do it all and who will YOLO until the day they drop dead from YOLOing.  I have developed a very strong case of FOMO* as a result. It keeps me busy.

I’m happy and I’m busy.  Which is definitely good, but certainly not best.

What do you do to unplug from the busy-ness of your life, Dear Reader?  How do you reset?

*FOMO: fear of missing out.
